As well as being a clinician, Vanessa runs DPUK’s Trials Delivery programme and leads the READ-OUT study into blood biomarkers for dementia, a £5 million study into blood-based indicators of dementia and cognitive impairment which could be used at scale within the NHS to identify a number of dementias. Professor Raymont will continue in her work alongside her new role as director.
She takes over from Prof John Gallacher who is stepping down as Director after more than 10 years leading the organisation.
