Since its creation in 2014, DPUK has significantly enhanced the dementia research landscape in the UK by:

  • bringing together expertise from academia, industry and the third sector in a pre-competitive environment.
  • funding innovative programmes and state-of-the-art research infrastructure in our Experimental Medicine Incubator.
  • strengthening the infrastructure and scope for matching public volunteers to research studies in our Trials Delivery Programme.
  • providing rapid access to population cohort data optimised for dementia research in our world-leading Data Portal.
  • leveraging over £100 million in additional funding for dementia research using DPUK and linked programmes.
