The all-day event is being held at Aston University and will explore:
- statistical techniques for lower fidelity synthetic data, generative AI techniques for higher levels of fidelity.
- appropriate evaluation techniques for privacy and utility to enable synthetic data to be released from secure environments.
Speakers at the workshop are drawn from our DPUK team, UK Data Service, Research Data Scotland, ADR UK, Medicines Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, Imperial Computational Privacy Group, University of Cambridge. A speaker from the Welsh Government will talk about their current experiences of generating and evaluating synthetic data.
For anyone attending, it is a chance to connect with experts and explore potential collaborations, as well as be part of a wider group that is contributing to the implementation of governance frameworks and standards for responsible deployment of synthetic data in Trusted Research Environments.
