A new study published in the Royal Society Open Science journal, researchers delved into the complex relationship between Facebook adoption and well-being across 72 countries. The investigation addressed previous research limitations by encompassing diverse demographics worldwide and employing more accurate measures of social media engagement.

Contrary to popular opinion, the research did not uncover a negative association between Facebook adoption and well-being. Instead, the results indicated positive associations between country-level Facebook usage and overall well-being.

The study offers a fresh perspective on the relationship between Facebook adoption and mental well-being across diverse countries.
