PUBLIC UPDATE: DPUK and coronavirus (COVID-19)
Along with our host and partner organisations, we are continually monitoring the situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19).
Recruitment to studies and clinical trials is resuming in some cases after being halted in March, with measures in place to ensure the safety of participants and researchers.
It is important to stay safe and well (both physically and mentally) during the coronavirus outbreak. A number of charities and research organisations have published helpful guidance for those living with or caring for people with a range of health conditions. These include:
Age UK (Advice line: 0800 678 1602)
Alzheimer's Society (Support line: 0333 150 3456)
Dementia UK (Helpline: 0800 888 6678)
Stroke Association (Helpline: 0303 3033 100)
Finding your way around dementia research and support
DPUK is one of many different organisations – charities, industry, universities and governments – who are working together for people with dementia. Here we're focused on research. We work with existing population studies, known as 'cohorts', to help accelerate the development of new treatments. Whether or not you are living with dementia, we understand that you may want to support research or are looking for practical help. Our useful resources page links you to different organisations that work in care or research for dementia.
