Pippa Watson

Research Assistant

I currently work as a data curation research assistant for Dementias Platform UK, where I am involved in enhancing the UK's cohort, imaging, and record linkage informatics capability to provide an integrated environment for dementia-related data analysis.

Prior to joining Dementias Platform UK, I completed my MSc in Psychological Research at the University of Oxford, where my thesis examined the impact cognitive reserve has on longitudinal outcomes post-stroke in different cognitive domains. Before this, I received my BSc (Hons) in Psychology from UCL.

Broadly speaking my research interests are investigating cognitive decline in ageing, stroke, and neurodegenerative disease, with a particular interest in investigating modifiable risk factors for cognitive decline such as leisure and physical activity.
