What is your COVID policy?

We recognise the challenges we continue to face during the current global pandemic. Our decisions are always driven by the impact on people affected by dementia, the health and well-being of our staff, volunteers, partners, speakers and delegates.

We will be holding this conference in-person; however, we will be working in line with the government guidance and restrictions at the time. We will continue to monitor and review the policies and procedures we have in place in accordance with government and public health guidance. We will update our attendees to any changes or considerations that will need to be put in place as part of these restrictions.

Is the conference available online/virtually?

Due to the highly collaborative and 'workshop-like' nature of the event, Translation 2023 will only be in-person. We are investigating the possibility of livestream and/or recording the event, to be published online if permissions given.

How do I pay for my place at the conference?

Once registered, you can either pay by credit or debit card via the booking system.

How and when do I receive my confirmation once I have registered?

You will be able to receive an e-mail confirmation once you have completed your registration form and paid the ticket fee. You will not be able to attend the conference unless payment is made.

Is there a deadline for payment?

Yes - unless the event is booked at full capacity ahead of time, registration for a place at Translation 2023 and payment via card will likely close in February 2023.

Will I be able to get a copy of the presentations?

We will aim to ask for a copy of presentations from each speaker in order be available after the event, but as this is at the discretion of the speaker, we cannot guarantee all will be available.

I can no longer attend - can I appoint a colleague to attend in my place?

This will be at the discretion of the event organisation team - please inform the DPUK team on dpuk@psych.ox.ac.uk to discuss further if this is you.

Can I amend my booking after completion?

Not directly - if you need to update your details, please contact dpuk@psych.ox.ac.uk to discuss further.

I am a speaker at one of the sessions, can I bring someone else along free of charge with me?

Unfortunately, only one place per speaker is complimentary.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

The cancellation and refund policy for online ticket purchases (both Standard and ECR) will be in line with the University of Oxford's Online Sales Systems Terms and Conditions.
