Christian Schnier

Senior epidemiologist

'The great thing about DPUK is that it enables me to work with different cohorts and different electronic health records.'

I work as a senior epidemiologist at the Usher Institute, Edinburgh University. My current research is mostly about how we can make best use of electronic health records to properly classify people into those with dementia and those without. For me, the great thing about working with DPUK is that it enables me to work outside the UK Biobank cohort with different cohorts, different electronic health records, different validation strategies and, last but not least, experts that I would have never met without DPUK.
