Funding is available for clinical trials and/or clinical trial sub-studies with excellent preliminary data. Projects must involve the development of either a therapeutic, a tool, a complementary approach, or a combination of these to help accelerate the development of treatments for neurodegenerative diseases of ageing.

Healthy ageing is a two-day conference held by the Royal Society and the Academy of Medical Sciences' FORUM. The UK Government has set the Grand Challenge of achieving five extra years of healthy older age by 2035, but achieving this will be reliant on innovations in research and health and social care systems that benefit people of all ages and backgrounds. DPUK researcher, Ian Deary, is one of the organisers of this event.
