Our research
The DPUK Data Portal gives researchers rapid, secure access to millions of health research records.
Our Trials Delivery Framework matches public volunteers to the right dementia studies.
Our Experimental Medicine Incubator accelerates and de-risks the development of new treatments.
Featured research: Can our genes predict our likelihood of developing dementia?
A project led by researchers at Cardiff University is analysing data in the DPUK Data Portal to predict genetic risk of dementia, focusing on genes related to the brain's immune system.
Featured Researcher - John O'Brien
John is a Professor in the University of Cambridge Department of Clinical Neurosciences. His research interests include the role of neuroimaging biomarkers in the differential and early diagnosis of dementia – including identifying those at risk of future cognitive decline – and developing markers of onset and progression of disease.
John leads the Neuroimmunology theme within DPUK's Experimental Medicine Incubator. He also co-leads Work Package 27b: Prodromal dementia immunoprofiles; and Work Package 27c: Dynamic PET-MR and brain inflammation.
